About Winona, MS - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The City of Winona calls itself the original crossroads of North Mississippi. Located about 75 minutes north of Jackson, Winona is the only place in the state where Highway 82 interacts with I-55 and Highway 55. The city serves as the county seat of Montgomery County, and as of 2016, about 4,400 people called the community home. While the economy has struggled in the past, the area received a boost in May 2005 when the area received power and water access across I-55. Since that time, more businesses have developed in the city, including Pilot Travel Centers.

There are many things to see and do in the Winona area. Arguably the most popular attraction is the Montgomery County Performing Arts Center, which hosts theatrical productions with local actors. Adrenaline junkies might like a trip to Old Mountain outdoor adventures, which offers zipline and aerial ropes courses. There are several restaurants in the community, and the most highly-rated include The Tracks, Pizza Inn, and El Cabrito. Specialty shops are also found throughout the city, including Oliver Florist, Special Treasures, and the City Trading Post.

Weather conditions in Winona are varied throughout the year. Summer weather can be especially dangerous, with highs that reach well into the 90s most day. To stay safe and comfortable at home, residents need the cooling action of a heat pump or central air conditioning system. The best units will offer energy efficiency as well as consistent cooling.

Although winter weather in Winona will be much warmer than other parts of the U.S., proper climate controls are still needed. Average daily highs might reach into the 50s, but lows will fall into the 30s or even below freezing. Heat pumps are great investments in the Southeast, as they provide both heating and cooling solutions for a home. Additionally, they reduce dryness within indoor air and they are environmentally friendly. An energy efficient heat pump will also add to the overall value of a home.
